In
my research for my talk about mothers and women in the scriptures, I learned a lot, especially about mothers
in particular. My testimony grew so much about motherhood and the
responsibility that it holds, it’s hard to express what my heart feels right
now.
I
learned how our earthly mothers were chosen specifically for us to rear and
nurture us for the trials and opportunities that were designed for us. In my
mind, I can’t help but think that our Heavenly Mother had a role in choosing
our earthy mothers, too.
My
relationship with my Father in Heaven is so special and sacred; the
relationship I have with my heavenly parents is beyond comprehension. My
Heavenly Mother is so sacred and special to me, to know what she has
sacrificed and given to each and every one of us. I won't share too much
because it is so sacred and dear, but I do know that my Heavenly Father lives,
and my Heavenly Mother lives, and my brother, my Savior, Jesus Christ, lives.
They love me, they know me, they designed me and they nurtured me.
I
believe they chose the valiant of their children to care for me on this earth.
The amount of love they must have is beyond my comprehension; I only strive to
know this love for myself one day. To implement this love to my own
family, companions, those I teach and everyone! This work I’m doing right here,
right now truly is His work. He has sent us out of His presence to do His will
and to learn and to grow.
Obviously, this is the SLC temple and is NOT in England, but is is so beautiful! :) |
It
must have torn our heavenly parents apart as we left their presence, and to
watch their children stray from the path must be an unbearable pain. It is so
important to bring our brothers and sisters back to our heavenly home, our
heavenly family, and our heavenly glory. Our heavenly parents’ joy will be so
great for each child who returns!
Our
Father will give us all that we need to accomplish this as we strive to fulfil
His purpose. I know my purpose is to bring their children back to them by
loving them with the love they so dearly give me, and by leading them on the
path back home. I'm so dearly grateful for the knowledge I have, and for the
opportunity I have to help their children come home. This is not just my duty
and my responsibility, but is an opportunity; one of which I am eternally
grateful for.
I’m
so thankful for my Heavenly Father and Mother, and their son, my Savior, Jesus
Christ. They love us, they want us to return to be with them, and the fullness
of the gospel can help all of us achieve that wonderful goal.
Love,
Sister
